Description For Deployment Operations Program Manager

Google is seeking a Deployment Operations Program Manager to join their Technical Infrastructure team. This role is crucial in managing complex, multi-disciplinary projects that span offices, time zones, and hemispheres. The position involves working with the Technical Infrastructure team that builds and maintains Google's architecture, data centers, and platforms that power Google's product portfolio.

As a Program Manager, you'll be responsible for leading projects from start to finish, coordinating with stakeholders to plan requirements, manage schedules, identify risks, and maintain clear communication with cross-functional partners. The role specifically focuses on New Product Introduction (NPI) Operations and requires expertise in managing product transitions and workflow operations.

The ideal candidate will have strong experience in program management, particularly in cross-functional engineering projects. You'll be working with global teams, requiring excellent communication skills and the ability to drive alignment across multiple organizational stakeholders. Responsibilities For Deployment Operations Program Manager

  • Form partnerships with New Product Introduction (NPI) Operations and Platforms teams, as well as partnerships with stakeholders and leaders across organizations
  • Execute rationalized Product Configuration Strategy from Concept to General Availability (GA) by planning and executing Product Onboarding workflow operations
  • Manage milestone schedules for NPI program test ordering, and prioritize and escalate partner team requests
  • Drive change event impact analysis and adjust plans of record across systems of record, and land product transitions with minimal disruption to Products Areas
  • Drive development and optimization of product transition processes and tools to automate and scale

Requirements For Deployment Operations Program Manager

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience
  • 5 years of experience in program or project management
  • 5 years of experience managing cross-functional or cross-team engineering projects
  • Excellent communication skills with global teams
  • English proficiency
