- Set and communicate team priorities that support the broader organization's goals
- Set clear expectations with individuals based on their level and role
- Develop the mid-term technical vision and roadmap within the scope of your team
- Design, guide and vet systems designs within the scope of the broader area
- Review code developed by other engineers and provide feedback to ensure best practices
Requirements For Engineering Manager, Core Machine Learning, Google Cloud
- Bachelor's degree, or equivalent practical experience
- 8 years of experience with software development in C++ programming language
- 5 years of experience with machine learning algorithms and tools (e.g., TensorFlow)
- 5 years of experience with design and architecture and testing/launching software products
- Master's degree or PhD in Computer Science or related technical field (preferred)
- 3 years of experience working in a complex, matrixed organization (preferred)
- 3 years of experience in technical leadership role (preferred)
- Experience with Machine Learning and High Performance Computing (preferred)
- Experience in C++ (preferred)
- Experience in compilers (preferred)
