Google is seeking a Metro Network Deployment Engineer to join their Global Networking team. This role is part of the Technical Infrastructure team, responsible for building and maintaining Google's network architecture. As a Metro Network Deployment Engineer, you will be responsible for managing the installation and quality assurance of networking equipment, testing and commissioning network devices, and providing technical leadership during deployment activities. You'll work closely with project management and engineering teams to identify potential issues in network installations and maintain network documentation.
The role requires a bachelor's degree in Network Deployment or a related field, along with 2 years of experience in DWDM, TCP/IP, or system design operations. Knowledge of network infrastructure, optical engineering, and project management is essential. Candidates must be able to obtain TS NV1 clearance under the Australian Government Protective Security Policy Framework.
