Google Cloud is seeking a Security Engineering Manager to lead their Operational Technology (OT) Security team within the Product Security Engineering organization. This role is crucial in ensuring the security of Google Data Centers' OT products and architectures. The position requires an experienced security professional with 10+ years of expertise in security engineering, coding, and team leadership. You'll be responsible for managing security projects for Industrial Controls Systems/OT environments, conducting security assessments, and developing remediation strategies.
The role sits within the Cloud CISO organization, specifically in the Product Security Engineering team, which is dedicated to ensuring the security of all Cloud products and infrastructure. You'll work closely with GDC Product Design teams and Operations teams to implement secure engineering practices in the OT and industrial control systems space.
As a Security Engineering Manager, you'll be at the forefront of protecting Google's critical infrastructure, leading initiatives to identify and mitigate security vulnerabilities in OT environments. The position offers a competitive compensation package ranging from $237,000 to $337,000, plus bonus, equity, and comprehensive benefits.
The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise in security engineering, demonstrated leadership abilities, and specific experience with operational technology and industrial control systems. Responsibilities For Security Engineering Manager, Operational Technology, Cloud CISO
- Manage and influence cross-organizational programs and stakeholders to land security projects for Industrial Controls Systems/Operational Technology environments
- Conduct comprehensive security assessments of existing ICS/OT environments to identify vulnerabilities, risks, and non-compliance with Google standards
- Work with ICS/OT devices, networks, and applications to mitigate potential threats and vulnerabilities
- Research and recommend new security technologies and solutions to enhance the ICS/OT security program
- Develop and implement a prioritized roadmap for remediation, aligning with business objectives
Requirements For Security Engineering Manager, Operational Technology, Cloud CISO
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience
- 10 years of experience with security engineering, computer and network security and security protocols
- 10 years of coding experience in one or more general purpose languages
- 10 years of experience with security assessments or security design reviews or threat modeling
- 10 years of experience leading teams in a technical capacity or leading technical risk analysis in an enterprise environment
- Experience with operational technology and industrial controls systems
- Operational Technology security certification (preferred)
