Google Cloud is seeking a Senior Product Manager to lead their Infrastructure Virtualization initiatives. This role sits at the intersection of cloud computing and infrastructure technology, focusing on developing and delivering innovative solutions in the foundational Compute Infrastructure layer. The position requires a blend of technical expertise in virtualization, cloud technologies, and infrastructure, along with strong product management skills.
The role involves working with cross-functional teams including hardware, software, research, and product teams to drive product goals and roadmap execution. You'll be responsible for delivering new capabilities in the Hypervisor and Virtualization Stack, Guest OS, and Devices, while ensuring innovation for Google Cloud's enterprise customers.
As a Senior Product Manager, you'll need to stay ahead of industry trends and understand the evolving dynamics of both workloads and hardware. Your responsibilities will include managing the roadmap for Guest OS support, network, storage, hypervisor, and offloads, while providing data-driven insights to guide engineering initiatives and maximize ROI.
The ideal candidate brings 8+ years of product management experience, with at least 5 years focused on cloud, virtualization, or infrastructure technologies. You should have a strong technical background with knowledge of compute architecture, data center infrastructure, and virtualization systems. The ability to communicate effectively and influence decisions across all organizational levels is crucial.

Responsibilities For Senior Product Manager, Infrastructure Virtualization
- Deliver new capabilities in the foundational Compute Infrastructure layer and deliver innovation for Google Cloud
- Work across hardware, software, research and product teams towards product goals and roadmap
- Understand the dynamics and industry trends on where the innovation is happening for both workloads and hardware
- Deliver the roadmap for Guest OS support, network, storage, hypervisor and offloads
- Provide data-driven insights to prioritize engineering initiatives and maximize return on investment
Requirements For Senior Product Manager, Infrastructure Virtualization
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience
- 8 years of experience in product management or related technical role
- 5 years of experience developing or launching products or technologies within Cloud, Virtualisation, Infrastructure
- Experience in compute architecture, data center infrastructure, CPU and Input/Output technologies, Virtualization and OS systems (preferred)
- Understanding of different workload requirements and their demands on the underlying infrastructure (preferred)
- Ability to communicate effectively and influence decisions cross-functionally and at all levels of an organization (preferred)
