As a Senior Software Engineering Manager for Infrastructure in Google Cloud Data Management, you will not only have the technical expertise to take on and provide technical leadership to major projects but also manage a team of Engineers. You will optimize your own code and ensure Engineers are able to optimize theirs. You will manage project goals, contribute to product strategy, and help develop your team.

Key Responsibilities:

• Set and communicate team priorities that support the broader organization's goals.
• Align strategy, processes, and decision-making across teams.
• Set clear expectations with individuals based on their level and role.
• Develop the long-term technical vision and roadmap within and often beyond the scope of your teams.
• Oversee systems designs and review product or system development code.
• Review code developed by other engineers and provide feedback to ensure best practices.

This role requires a combination of technical expertise and leadership skills, with a focus on building and developing large-scale infrastructure and distributed systems. You will be working in a complex, matrixed organization, managing multiple teams and locations, overseeing a large product budget, and deploying large-scale projects across multiple international sites.
