The ChromeOS EngProd team aims to make ChromeOS easy to change, hard to break, and ship efficiently. The Test Experience team empowers ChromeOS developer teams to build ChromeOS more efficiently by making tests easy to write, efficiently running tests, and providing clear insights into test results.

As a Software Engineer III in the Engineering Productivity team for Chrome OS EngProd, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and improving automated testing frameworks used by internal developers and external partners. You will work on complex problems, drive technical innovation, and contribute to high-quality test frameworks and best practices for automated testing within the ChromeOS ecosystem.

Key responsibilities include:

  1. Designing and implementing automated testing frameworks
  2. Triaging and resolving bugs within the test framework
  3. Collaborating with ChromeOS test infrastructure teams and stakeholders
  4. Analyzing user feedback to improve testing solutions
  5. Contributing to the development of best practices for automated testing

  • Design, implement, and improve the automated testing framework used by internal developers and external partners for testing across various environments
  • Triage, investigate, and resolve bugs within the test framework, participate in on-call rotation to provide timely support and troubleshooting
  • Work closely with ChromeOS test infrastructure teams and engineering stakeholders to align on organization-wide goals and ensure successful implementation of new features
  • Analyze feedback from test framework users to identify areas for improvement and implement effective solutions
