Software Engineer III, Security/Privacy, Google Cloud Security and Privacy

Google's software engineers develop the next-generation technologies that change how billions of users connect, explore, and interact with information and one another. We're looking for engineers who bring fresh ideas from all areas, including information retrieval, distributed computing, large-scale system design, networking and data storage, security, artificial intelligence, natural language processing, UI design and mobile.

As a Software Engineer III in Security/Privacy for Google Cloud Security and Privacy, you will work on a specific project critical to Google's needs with opportunities to switch teams and projects as you and our fast-paced business grow and evolve. You will design, develop, test, deploy, maintain, and enhance software solutions focused on data privacy and security.

Responsibilities include:

• Writing product or system development code
• Participating in or leading design reviews with peers and stakeholders
• Reviewing code developed by other developers
• Contributing to documentation and educational content
• Triaging product or system issues and debugging/resolving them

The ideal candidate will have:

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience
• 2 years of experience with data structures or algorithms
• 2 years of experience building software for data privacy or security
• 2 years of experience with software development in one or more programming languages

Preferred qualifications include a Master's or PhD in Computer Science, experience with accessible technologies, proficiency in system health and debugging, and experience with large-scale systems data analysis.
