Staff Software Engineer, Infrastructure, Google Cloud

As a Staff Software Engineer in Infrastructure for Google Cloud, you will work on critical projects with opportunities to switch teams as the business evolves. You'll need to be versatile, display leadership qualities, and be enthusiastic about tackling new problems across the full-stack.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide technical leadership on high-impact projects
• Influence and coach a distributed team of engineers
• Facilitate alignment across teams on goals, outcomes, and timelines
• Manage project priorities, deadlines, and deliverables
• Design, develop, test, deploy, maintain, and enhance large scale software solutions

You'll be working in Google Cloud, which helps organizations digitally transform their businesses using Google's cutting-edge technology. Customers in over 200 countries rely on Google Cloud for critical business solutions.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience
• 8 years of software development experience
• 5 years of experience testing and launching software products
• 3 years of experience with software design and architecture
• 5 years of experience with large-scale infrastructure, distributed systems, or networks

Preferred Qualifications:

• Master's or PhD in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field
• 3 years in a technical leadership role
• 3 years working in complex, matrixed organizations on cross-functional projects
