Description For Technical Program Management, APAC Network Infrastructure

Google is seeking a Technical Program Manager to join their APAC Network Infrastructure team in Singapore. This role combines technical expertise with program management to lead complex, multi-disciplinary projects focused on network infrastructure development and optimization across Asia.

The position requires someone who can effectively bridge technical and business aspects, working with diverse stakeholders to plan, execute, and manage critical network infrastructure initiatives. You'll be responsible for everything from short-term metro augments to long-term region-wide strategies for Google's network in Asia.

As part of the Technical Infrastructure team, you'll play a crucial role in maintaining and developing the architecture that powers Google's vast product portfolio. The role involves collaborating with internal teams, managing vendor relationships, and driving infrastructure delivery while optimizing costs and efficiency.

The ideal candidate brings 5+ years of program management experience, strong technical knowledge of networking and optical technologies, and excellent communication skills. You'll need to be comfortable with ambiguity, possess strong analytical capabilities, and have the ability to influence cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities For Technical Program Management, APAC Network Infrastructure

  • Collaborate with internal business and cross-functional networking technical teams to identify and define tactical initiatives
  • Present network plans for approval by all internal stakeholders
  • Manage the approved network plan with internal contributors
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to define and improve business processes
  • Partner with network negotiators in planning and execution of orders and contracts

Requirements For Technical Program Management, APAC Network Infrastructure

Linux
  • Bachelor's degree, or equivalent practical experience
  • 5 years of experience in program management
  • Experience with networking, optical technologies, and outside plant or layer one network design
  • Experience in navigating ambiguity and identifying opportunities for optimization
  • Knowledge of fiber optic systems
  • Understanding of Asian and global carrier networks
  • Excellent problem solving and financial skills
  • Excellent communication skills
