Description For Technical Program Manager, AI Privacy Consulting and Governance

Google is seeking a Technical Program Manager to join their AI Privacy Consulting and Governance team. This role is crucial in ensuring the responsible development and deployment of AI technologies while maintaining user privacy and trust. As part of the Core team, you'll be at the forefront of shaping Google's technical foundation and flagship products.

The position requires a unique blend of technical expertise and program management skills, focusing on conducting privacy impact assessments for AI datasets, models, and products. You'll work closely with various teams across Google, including Privacy Engineers and product teams, to identify and address AI privacy challenges.

The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background with a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field, combined with program management experience. Knowledge of ML models, applications, and privacy principles is essential. You'll be responsible for developing technical documentation, measuring progress through specific metrics, and scaling AI privacy governance solutions across the organization.

Responsibilities For Technical Program Manager, AI Privacy Consulting and Governance

  • Conduct privacy impact assessments and drive privacy outcomes for AI datasets, models, products, and features
  • Escalate AI risks to central and product leadership forums as needed
  • Work with Privacy Engineers to design and develop technical documentation
  • Navigate multiple work-streams, functional and technical concepts
  • Lead across systems, products, and teams to scale AI privacy governance solutions across Google

Requirements For Technical Program Manager, AI Privacy Consulting and Governance

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering or a related field or equivalent practical experience
  • 2 years of experience in program management
  • Experience working with technical teams such as Engineering, Core Infrastructure, and Corporate Engineering
  • Knowledge and experience in the development of ML models and applications
  • Knowledge of privacy principles
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
