Google Cloud is seeking a Technical Program Manager for their Distributed Cloud, Edge initiative. This role combines technical leadership with program management expertise to drive complex, multi-disciplinary projects from inception to completion. The position requires coordinating with diverse stakeholders, including engineers, product managers, and third-party partners, to deliver high-quality cloud computing solutions.

The ideal candidate will bring 5+ years of program management experience, with preferred experience in SaaS/PaaS environments. You'll be responsible for developing and implementing key planning processes, managing software development lifecycles, and ensuring successful product releases. The role demands someone who can effectively communicate technical concepts to both executives and engineering teams while maintaining a strong focus on project timelines and deliverables.

Responsibilities For Technical Program Manager, Google Distributed Cloud, Edge

  • Develop, deploy, adapt key planning, execution, and reporting processes in a unique product environment
  • Drive the execution of software development projects through planning and cross-functional coordination
  • Work with software engineers, Quality assurance, product managers and other engineering teams
  • Take responsibility for release schedules and milestones, identify possible issues and communicate them to stakeholders
  • Lead technical programs for the Google Cloud Platform (GCP), leading cross-functional teams to take products to market

Requirements For Technical Program Manager, Google Distributed Cloud, Edge

Kubernetes
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience
  • 5 years of experience in program management
  • Experience managing projects in a technical/software engineering environment
  • 10 years of experience in a software program management role in SaaS/PaaS, cloud computing or enterprise software (preferred)
  • Experience in partnering with engineering, product management and support teams (preferred)
  • Experience in delivering complex software products (preferred)
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities (preferred)
  • Excellent technical acumen and leadership across organizational boundaries (preferred)
