Google is seeking a Technical Program Manager for Server Hall Design to join their Technical Infrastructure team. Responsibilities For Technical Program Manager, Server Hall Design
- Design and optimize the physical layout of data center floors, ensuring efficient use of space and resources, including placement of server racks, network equipment, Power Distribution Units (PDUs), and cooling systems
- Design cable tray systems to support data and power cabling for server racks and other equipment, and ensure compliance with industry standards for cable management
- Calculate power requirements for server racks and other equipment, taking into account redundancy and future growth, and collaborate with electrical engineers to design power distribution systems
- Work with multiple teams across different time zones, build relationships with stakeholders across the organization, and influence decision-making
- Lead projects of various size and scope, identifying future opportunities, improving processes, and driving the technical directions of the programs
Requirements For Technical Program Manager, Server Hall Design
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, or equivalent practical experience
- 2 years of experience in program or technical project management
- Experience with AutoCAD and Design Documents
- Experience managing vendor relationships
- Experience working with data center equipment/environments
- Experience managing construction projects within an international working environment
