Description For UX Engineer, AI Imaging and Video

Google's AI Imaging and Video (AIV) team is seeking a UX Engineer to join their innovative AI Innovation and Research team within Platforms and Devices. This role offers a unique opportunity to shape the future of Google's AI experiences in products like Pixel Camera and Google Photos.

As a UX Engineer, you'll collaborate with a diverse team of Product Managers, UX Designers, Software Engineers, and Research Scientists to transform research and product ideas into tangible prototypes. Your work will involve iterative cycles of design and rapid prototyping, directly influencing products used by billions of users worldwide.

The position requires strong technical skills in front-end development, with expertise in JavaScript/TypeScript, HTML, CSS, and additional programming languages like Python, Java, or C++. You'll need experience with modern frameworks and libraries, and a background in technical UX design and prototyping.

Responsibilities For UX Engineer, AI Imaging and Video

  • Work with Product Managers and UX Designers to create mocks for product outlook for the future of the space
  • Collaborate with Researchers and Software Engineers to implement solutions to address problems and answer questions
  • Develop different types of prototypes to support validation of ideas, including technical feasibility, user interaction, and quality
  • Design and develop the front-ends of user-facing products, bringing a human-centered approach to brilliant research and products
  • Influence partner user experience teams with designs and applications that showcase the tech and user outcomes

Requirements For UX Engineer, AI Imaging and Video
