Description For Developer Advocate

This role represents a unique opportunity to work at the intersection of technology and community building in the observability space.

The position is fully remote, based in the United Kingdom time zone, and requires someone who can bridge the gap between technical expertise and community engagement. As a Developer Advocate, you'll be part of a team that's deeply rooted in open-source values, working alongside product managers and engineers to help users build innovative solutions with Grafana's technology stack.

Your role will involve creating technical content, from sample applications to blog posts, and engaging with the community through various channels including events, videos, and online forums. You'll be instrumental in educating developers and SREs about Grafana's capabilities, from basic dashboards to advanced APIs and plugins. The position requires a strong technical background, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively with a global community.

The ideal candidate should have substantial technical experience, whether in software development, SRE, monitoring, or operations. A computer science degree or equivalent experience is required, along with demonstrated technical writing and presentation skills. Experience with observability, cloud platforms, and open-source communities is highly valued.

Working at Grafana Labs offers the opportunity to impact millions of users while being part of a company that values diversity, equality, and innovation. The compensation package includes competitive salary, equity, potential bonuses, and comprehensive benefits.
