Characterisation and Bring-Up Engineer

Graphcore, a pioneering company in AI compute hardware and software backed by SoftBank Group, is seeking a Characterisation and Bring-Up Engineer to join their team. This role is crucial in developing next-generation artificial intelligence compute systems that will shape the future of AI technology.

The position involves working closely with Architecture, Silicon Engineering, Hardware Engineering, Operations, and Product teams to create and execute bring-up and characterisation plans for cutting-edge silicon devices and system platforms. You'll be responsible for developing automated testing systems, performing manual testing when necessary, and ensuring proper documentation of all processes.

As part of a new team within manufacturing operations, with presence in Bristol, Cambridge, and Taiwan, you'll be at the forefront of delivering world-class leading-edge products to customers. The role requires deep technical knowledge in silicon device design, high-performance processors, and system-on-chip systems.

The ideal candidate will have strong experience in silicon digital device design characterisation, understanding of silicon process technology, and proficiency in programming languages like Python for automation and data analysis. You'll be working in a collaborative environment that values both independent work and team coordination.
