Job Description
Greptile is an AI code reviewer that helps software companies merge PRs faster and prevent bugs. They use AI to catch bugs and anti-patterns in pull requests with complete context of the codebase. Hundreds of top software companies use Greptile. They review over 200M lines of code every month and customers range from YC startups to big tech companies across cloud and self-hosted products, including teams in finance, healthcare, and defense.
As a Software Engineer (Generalist) at Greptile, you'll be responsible for solving some of the company's hardest and most interesting problems, including LLM memory, multi-language codebase indexing, semantic search for large codebases, and much more. You will design, implement, test, and deploy full features, as well as iterate based on user feedback. The tech stack includes Typescript, AWS, ECS, Lambda, Postgres, DynamoDB, and NextJS.
This is a great opportunity to join a well-funded (35M), fast-growing company with very little monthly burn. The company is a team of 6 based in San Francisco and is serving over 1000 software teams. They are backed by Benchmark, YC, Initialized Capital, SV Angel and Paul Graham. You'll have the opportunity to contribute to core AI development and codebase indexing challenges, and you'll receive a competitive salary ($190K - $280K) and equity (0.50% - 1.00%). Responsibilities
- Solve some of our hardest and most interesting problems, including LLM memory, multi-language codebase indexing, semantic search for large codebases, and much more.
- Design, implement, test, and deploy full features
- Get user feedback to iterate the features
Requirements
- 2 - 8 years of experience in full-time software engineering
- 50/50 backend/frontend or 80/20 backend/frontend
