Responsibilities For Process Design Engineer, R&D Projects

  • Lead process design for direct air capture R&D projects
  • Lead planning and design of critical projects including first of kind technology
  • Conduct process conceptual design and engineering calculations
  • Review detailed design drawings
  • Prepare technical reports and specifications
  • Evaluate alternative process design concepts
  • Work with vendors to spec and procure capital equipment
  • Partner with plant design team

Requirements For Process Design Engineer, R&D Projects

  • 3+ years of experience leading process design projects
  • Experience in developing heat/material balances
  • Experience creating PFDs and leading P&ID generation
  • Expertise in fluid hydraulic calculations for equipment
  • Familiarity with engineering requirements and client specs
  • Knowledge of relevant codes (API, ANSI, ASME, NFPA)
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills
  • Experience working in interdisciplinary teams
