Description For Intelligent Automation Developer

Illumina is seeking a Senior Intelligent Automation Developer to join their GIS Data and AI team. This role is crucial in developing and supporting intelligent automation solutions using UIPath, contributing to Illumina's mission of expanding access to genomic technology and realizing health equity globally. The position combines technical expertise in automation with healthcare innovation, requiring 5-7 years of experience in application support and development.

The role involves working in Agile scrum teams to design, implement, and test automation solutions while managing complex technical problems and application integrations. The ideal candidate will have experience with UIPath, Microsoft Power Apps, and AI/Gen AI applications, particularly in LLMs and Prompt Engineering. They'll be responsible for software architecture, application configurations, and ensuring smooth operation of automation systems.

Responsibilities For Intelligent Automation Developer

  • Design, implement, and test automation solutions in Agile scrum teams
  • Deliver software architecture, designs, and implementations
  • Create and execute unit tests to verify functionality
  • Troubleshoot and resolve software defects
  • Manage and support internal ticket escalations
  • Debug and resolve complex application issues
  • Manage application functionality updates, integrations, configurations, releases and security settings
  • Develop and implement policies and procedures for best practices
  • Partner with IT resources in strategy, design, and improvement of applications services

Requirements For Intelligent Automation Developer

Python
  • Bachelor's/master's degree in computer science or engineering
  • 5-7 years of technical and functional experience
  • Experience with UIPath and Microsoft Power Apps
  • Experience with AI/Gen AI applications (LLMs, Prompt Engineering)
  • Strong technical experience in application administration
  • Experience in fast-paced, global, corporate environment
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • API and scripting experience
  • Change control experience in FDA regulated environment
