Description For Lead Security Engineer - Cloud

JPMorgan Chase is seeking a Lead Security Engineer to join their Cybersecurity & Technology Controls (CTC) group. This role is crucial in ensuring secure and compliant adoption of Public Cloud technologies.

The position sits within the CTC Product Security team, aligned with the Azure Cloud Enablement (ACE) programme. The role involves leading the execution and enhancement of information risk and control strategies for public cloud security, delivering risk-based assessments, and guiding business technology teams on control requirements across cloud architectures.

As a Lead Security Engineer, you'll be working with a team that aligns the firm's cybersecurity, access management, controls and resiliency efforts. The group partners strategically with all business lines to enable proper control integration, efficient process delivery, and automation of controls.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead information risk and control strategy implementation for public cloud security
  • Conduct security reviews of infrastructure-as-code
  • Guide business teams on cloud architecture control requirements
  • Interface with CTC teams on platform integration with security operations
  • Contribute to security program documentation and agile processes

The ideal candidate should have:

  • Strong understanding of public cloud security
  • Experience with AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud (certifications preferred)
  • Hands-on experience with infrastructure-as-code and Terraform
  • Understanding of DevOps and CI/CD concepts
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work with stakeholders
  • Strong self-management and prioritization abilities
