Lead Software Engineer

As a Lead Software Engineer at JPMorgan Chase within the Technology Department, you will be an integral part of our agile team, focused on enhancing, building, and delivering trusted technology products in a secure, stable, and scalable way. You will serve as a core technical contributor, responsible for conducting critical technology solutions across multiple areas within various business functions. The position combines creative software development with technical leadership, requiring both hands-on coding expertise and the ability to guide technical decisions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Execute creative software solutions, design, development, and technical troubleshooting
• Develop secure high-quality production code, and review/debug code written by others
• Lead evaluation sessions with external vendors, startups, and internal teams
• Drive awareness and use of new and leading-edge technologies through communities of practice
• Identify opportunities to eliminate or automate recurring issues
• Contribute to team culture of diversity, equity, inclusion, and respect

Technical Requirements:

• 5+ years of applied experience with system design concepts
• Advanced proficiency in one or more programming languages
• Expertise in automation and continuous delivery methods
• Strong understanding of agile methodologies (CI/CD, Application Resiliency, Security)
• Practical cloud native experience, particularly with AWS technologies
• In-depth knowledge of financial services industry IT systems
