Description For Front End Developer

KUBRA, a Hearst subsidiary, is seeking a Front End Developer to join their Product Engineering team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work on large-scale client-side web applications using modern technologies like JavaScript, React, and AWS Cloud. The position provides a hybrid work model for candidates near their offices in Texas, New Jersey, Arizona, Mississauga, and California, with remote options available for others in the US or Canada.

The ideal candidate will have 2-3 years of frontend development experience, with strong proficiency in JavaScript and modern frameworks. You'll be responsible for building and maintaining large applications, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and contributing to the development of departmental standards through specialized "Guilds."

Responsibilities For Front End Developer

  • Contribute to design of new functionality and expand existing functionality
  • Work on large applications entirely in JavaScript ES6/TypeScript
  • Collaborate with other engineering teams via Guilds
  • Work collaboratively with API developers
  • Plan and participate in sprints containing bug fixes, feature requests, and new product development
  • Support existing JavaScript code bases
  • Work with Designers to build out GUIs for KUBRA applications

Requirements For Front End Developer

  • 2-3 years of experience in Front End Development
  • Proficiency in Javascript
  • Experience with HTML and CSS preprocessors
  • Previous experience in Webpack
  • Ability to write Javascript tests and JavaScript testing frameworks
  • Experience with TypeScript
  • Experience with modern UI framework (preferably React and Redux)
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills
  • Excellent organization, time management, problem-solving, and analytical skills
