Description For L2 Service Desk Engineer

Logicalis Australia, a leading Managed Service Provider (MSP), is seeking a L2 Service Desk Engineer for their client, a private school in Victoria. This role presents an exciting opportunity to join a global technology services provider with over 7,000 employees across 30 territories, serving more than 10,000 clients.

The position is based onsite in Essendon, Victoria, and runs from January 6, 2025, until the end of Term 1. As an L2 Service Desk Engineer, you'll be responsible for providing comprehensive technical support, managing device deployments, and ensuring smooth IT operations in an educational environment.

Key aspects of the role include managing smartphone distributions, maintaining asset records, executing deployment projects, and providing excellent customer service. You'll work with various technologies including Windows OS, macOS, Google Workspace, and Active Directory, while ensuring compliance with security protocols and corporate policies.

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field, strong technical expertise in various operating systems and cloud services, and excellent problem-solving abilities. You'll need to demonstrate strong communication skills to explain technical concepts to non-technical users and be comfortable working in a fast-paced educational environment.

Responsibilities For L2 Service Desk Engineer

  • Coordinate and manage smartphone and accessories distribution at client locations
  • Maintain accurate records of smartphone assets using Excel and ServiceNow
  • Execute smartphone deployments at client's Head Office and depots
  • Provide customer service during smartphone deployment sessions
  • Manage device enrollment in InTune and troubleshooting
  • Ensure compliance with corporate policies and security protocols
  • Manage return and secure disposal of old smartphones
  • Conduct weekly meetings with client's project managers

Requirements For L2 Service Desk Engineer

Linux
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field
  • Proven Level 2 support experience
  • Expertise in Windows OS, macOS, office applications, Google Workspace, and Active Directory
  • Experience with Windows 10 & 11, and SCCM
  • Familiarity with cloud-based systems and services
  • Network troubleshooting and mobile device management skills
  • Strong communication skills
  • Experience with ticketing systems
  • Problem-solving and decision-making abilities
