Responsibilities For Field Service Engineer
- Travel to sites to perform training and support channel partners (60% field work)
- Provide remote support via phone, live-chat, and email (40% office work)
- Serve as subject matter expert on installation of Lunar products
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical field issues
- Perform root-cause analysis both remotely and on-site
- Provide lab, remote, and on-the-job training
- Perform quality audits of channel partner installations
- Educate Building and Safety departments and secure permits
- Interpret data and report on key metrics
- Maintain relationships with partner teams
Requirements For Field Service Engineer
- Degree in engineering or equivalent technical field experience
- 5+ years of relevant industry experience in residential solar, battery and/or EV charging products
- Clean driving record
- Valid state or local Electrical Journeyman certification or license preferred
- Knowledge of NEC and applicable codes and standards
- Ability to interpret single line drawings and permit packages
- Ability to troubleshoot complex electrical problems
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and/or G-Suite
- Ability to work in outdoor conditions and handle physical demands
- Willingness to work non-routine hours when required
