Maximor AI is building the “AI-powered finance team” for the next generation of scaling companies, automating accounting and financial close processes with AI-powered precision. They envision replacing entire finance teams with AI agents that can close books, reconcile cash, forecast revenue, and prepare board decks in real-time. These agents plug into existing finance stacks and reason across fragmented data to deliver clean outputs instantly, offering a unified system of action and intelligence for finance.
As a Founding Remote Backend Engineer, you'll shape the stack, the team, and the product, tackling hard problems such as reasoning agents, fragmented data, and workflow orchestration under audit constraints. This role involves going from 0 to 1 repeatedly across a compound product.
The company has raised a $9M seed round from Foundation Capital and other notable investors. It offers a salary range of $2.5-8M Rupees depending on seniority, along with equity ranging from 0.3%–1% with flexibility on cash vs. equity tradeoff. You will work directly with the founder/CEO.
