Based in Ann Arbor, Michigan, we develop and deploy autonomous vehicles (AVs) powered by our innovative Multi-Policy Decision Making (MPDM) technology. Our vehicles do more than just drive themselves - they provide value to communities, bridge public transit gaps, and move people safely and enjoyably.

As a Site Autonomy Engineer, you'll play a crucial role in supporting our operational fleet at your assigned location. You'll work closely with the electromechanical and software elements of our system to ensure successful launches and maintain the safety of our autonomous driving solutions. Your responsibilities will include hardware maintenance, sensor calibration, software configuration, map development, and on-site testing.

Key responsibilities:

  • Perform hardware maintenance and regular upkeep of autonomous vehicles
  • Conduct sensor calibration and data collection
  • Execute on-site software configuration, map development, and driving tests
  • Respond to field issues and improvement requests
  • Collaborate with engineering and operations teams for testing and support
  • Act as a technical escalation point at the call center

We're looking for candidates with a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering (or relevant experience), proficiency in reading mechanical/electrical drawings, and 3+ years of experience with wire harnesses and basic mechanical subsystems. Experience with Linux environments and Git is essential, as is a strong focus on safety and holistic system thinking.

Join May Mobility and be part of a team that's given over 300,000 autonomy-enabled rides globally. We offer competitive salaries, stock incentives, comprehensive health benefits, generous paid leave, and ample opportunities for professional growth. If you're passionate about building the future of transportation and solving real-world problems, we want to hear from you!
