Sr Cybersecurity Architect

McDonald's, the leading global omni-channel restaurant brand, is seeking a Senior Cybersecurity Architect to join their Global Technology team. This role is crucial in powering McDonald's digital transformation as part of their Accelerating the Arches strategy, which focuses on enhancing customer experience across 25,000+ locations serving 65M+ customers daily.

The position sits within the Global Cyber Security function, specifically in the Cyber Security Architecture and Engineering team, reporting to the Senior Manager of Cyber Security Solution Architecture. The role combines technical expertise with strategic thinking, requiring someone who can both lead teams and make high-impact decisions.

As Sr Cybersecurity Architect, you'll be responsible for defining and communicating security requirements throughout the system lifecycle, from development to integration. You'll drive risk-based decisions regarding controls that maintain integrity, visibility, compliance, and resiliency. The role involves designing and implementing security architecture standards across the organization, following core principles of confidentiality, integrity, availability, and defense in depth.

The compensation package is competitive, ranging from $149,260 to $190,310, and includes comprehensive benefits such as health insurance, 401(k), adoption assistance, educational support, and flexible working arrangements. The position also offers bonus eligibility and long-term incentive opportunities through stock/equity grants.

Key responsibilities include developing advanced cybersecurity strategies, conducting security audits, collaborating with senior leadership, monitoring emerging threats, and designing access control and disaster recovery plans. The ideal candidate will have 6+ years of cybersecurity experience, strong analytical skills, and excellent communication abilities.
