Description For Security Engineer

Microsoft's Azure Data engineering team is seeking a Security Engineer to join their Microsoft Fabric Platform Security Services team. This role is crucial in automating detections at the application layer, preventing security and privacy issues, and responding to incidents. The position is part of the Azure Data team, which leads the transformation of analytics with products like Microsoft Fabric, Azure SQL DB, Azure Cosmos DB, and more.

The role involves working with the Microsoft Fabric platform team that builds and maintains the operating system and provides customers a unified data stack. You'll be responsible for analyzing threat trends, determining security vectors, addressing systemic security issues, and developing expertise in security tools and mitigations.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a background in security engineering or related fields to work on large-scale systems at Microsoft.   • Ensure skills remain current by staying abreast of current developments

Requirements For Security Engineer

  • 1+ year(s) experience in software development lifecycle, large scale computing, modeling, cyber security, anomaly detection
  • OR Bachelor's Degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Risk Management, Cyber Security, or related field
  • Must pass Microsoft Cloud Background Check
  • Demonstrated programming experience in multiple coding languages (preferred)
