Microsoft's Customer Experience & Success (CE&S) organization is seeking a Technical Support Advisory specialist for Azure Databricks. This role sits within the Customer Service & Support (CSS) organization, specifically in the Digital Transformation Platform (DTP) group. The position offers a unique opportunity to provide expert technical support and guidance for Microsoft's global customers on their digital transformation journey.

The role combines deep technical expertise in Azure Databricks, big data analytics, and cloud technologies with leadership responsibilities in technical readiness and process improvement. You'll be responsible for developing support staff, handling complex technical issues, and serving as a bridge between engineering and support teams.

As a Technical Support Advisory, you'll work with cutting-edge technologies including Azure Databricks, Hadoop, Spark, and various cloud services. Responsibilities For Technical Support Advisory - Azure Databricks

  • Develop and review readiness plans for delivery partner teams
  • Provide technical training and leadership skills to lower-level Technical Support Advisors
  • Improve team's problem solving skills, case management, and customer service
  • Handle highly complex, political, financial, and executive level cases
  • Collaborate with product team to influence product development
  • Manage escalated problems requiring in-depth product knowledge
  • Drive process improvements and refinements
  • Act as liaison between engineering teams and support teams

Requirements For Technical Support Advisory - Azure Databricks

Python
Linux
  • 7+ years in system development, network operations, software support, IT, consulting or technical troubleshooting experience OR Bachelor's Degree with 5+ years experience
  • 5+ years prior product, customer support and/or technical support experience
  • Proficient background using Azure Databricks
  • Experience with Big Data or Analytics Products (Azure Data Factory, Hadoop, Spark, Hive)
  • Competent within Open Source Ecosystem such as Linux or Apache
  • Developer experience using Python, Scala, or R
  • Experience with programming and debugging environments
  • Proficient in RDMS and Microsoft BI technologies
  • Must pass Microsoft Cloud Background Check
