Job Description
Miter is on a mission to empower construction contractors by providing a modern operating system for the built world. They are using AI and embedded payments to rebuild HR, finance, and operations systems that underpin the physical economy. Contractors use Miter to build stronger teams, control job costs, and accelerate job site execution. Miter has grown rapidly since its launch in 2022, securing significant funding from top investors. As a Senior Software Engineer, you will lead the design and implementation of products and systems end-to-end, collaborating with cross-functional teams to shape product architecture and technical roadmap. You will improve technical quality on the team by giving detailed technical feedback on blueprints and in code review. The salary range for this role is $190K - $250K, along with equity. Benefits include a hybrid work policy and a full-time position.
Responsibilities
- Lead the design and implementation of products and systems end-to-end
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to shape product architecture and technical roadmap
- Improve technical quality on the team by giving detailed technical feedback on blueprints and in code review
Requirements
- 4+ years of software engineering experience with a track record of delivering production systems
- Expertise in technical problem solving, data modeling and API development
- Curiosity to deeply understand business context and user needs
- Strong work ethic and reliability when owning tasks and deliverables
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to simplify complex ideas in writing
- Collaborative nature with humility, empathy, and a drive to elevate those around you with thoughtful technical feedback
- 4 - 10 years of experience as a full-stack engineer at a fast growing, technical B2B SaaS start-up
- CS degree from top engineering school
- FAANG foundational training, start up experience
