Nomos is seeking an Engineer to contribute to their sovereign, modular, zk-encrypted network of blockchains. As an Engineer, you will implement designs specified by the Nomos research team, contribute to new protocol solutions, and build distributed systems. You'll work on proof of concepts, develop production-ready code, and optimize systems. The role requires a strong understanding of academic papers, allowing you to evaluate, adapt, and implement cutting-edge ideas in blockchain, p2p networks, distributed systems, cryptography, Zero-Knowledge proofs, and MPC. You'll conduct theoretical and practical analysis of system performance and present results. The ideal candidate must have coding experience in Rust, experience with complex Distributed Systems (preferably in byzantine settings), a strong background in Computer Science and Math, excellent communication skills, and a keen interest in privacy and censorship-resistant technology. Additional valuable skills include research experience, open-source contributions, cryptography knowledge, a PhD in a related field, and solid mathematical foundations. The hiring process involves multiple interviews, and compensation can be paid in any mix of fiat and crypto.
