Oracle Health & AI is a new organization focusing on product development and product strategy for Oracle Health, building a complete platform supporting modernized, automated healthcare. The Oracle Digital Assistant (ODA) team within OHAI is seeking an Applied Scientist to join their team working on Conversational AI and Generative AI capabilities. This role will focus on building industry-leading solutions in the Healthcare domain, working with large volumes of data and implementing ML solutions that will be productionized into Health AI products. The position involves working with Large Language Models (LLMs) and Generative AI, developing new features for CDA Specialty Expansion & Innovation, Language & Region Expansion, and various ML Engineering tasks. This is an opportunity to join a new team being built from scratch in India, working in an agile environment with high visibility and senior leadership support. The role combines cutting-edge ML research with practical implementation in a healthcare context, requiring both technical expertise and the ability to deliver production-ready solutions.
Responsibilities For Applied Scientist 4
- Strong expertise in Python programming and Deep Learning frameworks
- Knowledge of Classification, Prediction, Recommender Systems, Time Series Forecasting, Anomaly Detection
- Ability to use existing libraries and design algorithms ground-up
- Combine ML Sciences depth with programming expertise
- Mentor & lead junior data scientists
- Contribute to peer reviews and team learning
- Strong research record preferred through publications
- Identify and investigate new technologies
- Take responsibility for technical problem solving
- Strong experience in LLM Systems and LLMOps
Requirements For Applied Scientist 4
- Ph.D. Degree preferred
- Experience having led multiple projects leveraging LLMs, GenAI and Prompt Engineering
- Exposure to real-world MLOps deploying models into production
- Knowledge of working in a cloud environment
- 5+ Years of Experience
- Strong understanding of LLMs, GenAI, Prompt Engineering and Copilot
