Oracle Solution Support Center (SSC) is seeking a Senior/Principal Technical Support Engineer for their Cloud and Exadata Database Support Organization. The role requires a US Citizen, clearance/clearance eligible, based in the West Coast time zone. The main responsibility is to solve highly complex technical issues on Oracle Cloud and Exadata On-Prem platforms, covering a wide range of database-related areas. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with Oracle database products, UNIX/Linux systems, and be regarded as a domain authority. Key responsibilities include working directly with customers, participating in weekend rotations and shifts, driving product quality improvements, and serving as a Situation Manager for critical customer issues. The role requires strong problem-solving skills, excellent communication, and the ability to work both autonomously and in a team environment. Technical skills should include expertise in Exadata, Real Application Cluster (RAC), Dataguard, and ASM/Storage areas, with additional knowledge in various database management and performance tuning areas.
