Description For Network Developer (Join OCI-NS2)

Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) is seeking a reliability engineering focused Network Developer to join their National Security Region (ONSR) Operations group. This role supports the operations, scaling, and reliability engineering of a large-scale global Oracle cloud computing environment. The position requires a deep understanding of networking protocols combined with strong programming skills to support intensive automation in a production environment.

The role involves working with OCI's cloud-based network, which has a global footprint including hundreds of thousands of network devices supporting millions of servers. You'll be responsible for network lifecycle management, developing and executing network changes, and participating in solution design reviews. The position requires expertise in network automation, deep root cause analysis, and experience with building or scaling greenfield environments.

Key technical requirements include familiarity with software engineering, NETCONF, Linux, routing protocols (BGP, MPLS, OSPF, IS-IS), and network security engineering aligned with NIST and DISA frameworks. Experience with monitoring and telemetry tools such as time-series databases, Grafana, webhooks, and APIs is highly valued.

This is an excellent opportunity for a network professional who enjoys combining traditional networking skills with modern automation and cloud infrastructure. The role offers competitive compensation, comprehensive benefits, and the chance to work with cutting-edge cloud technology at a global scale. You'll be part of a team that's essential to maintaining and improving Oracle's cloud infrastructure, making a direct impact on one of the world's largest cloud providers.
