Responsibilities For Software Development Manager
- Build, mentor, and manage a team of Engineers and SREs, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and operational excellence
- Define and manage team goals, priorities, and performance metrics aligned with organizational objectives
- Partner with recruiting teams to attract and hire top-tier talent
- Ensure the availability, performance, and scalability of critical systems and services
- Drive initiatives to achieve high uptime and meet Service Level Objectives (SLOs) and Service Level Agreements (SLAs)
- Monitor systems, resolve incidents, and lead post-incident reviews to implement corrective actions
- Develop and enforce best practices for incident management, root cause analysis, and problem resolution
- Establish and maintain runbooks, playbooks, and other documentation for operational processes
Requirements For Software Development Manager
- BS degree or equivalent experience relevant to functional area
- Demonstrated leadership and people management skills
- Strong communication skills
- Thorough understanding of product development
- Typically one year of software engineering or related experience
- Experience with operational excellence
- RCA (Root Cause Analysis) experience
