Job Description
Phia is a rapidly growing shopping platform cofounded by Phoebe Gates and Sophia Kianni, boasting over 350K users and a 90% retention rate. They are seeking an experienced Backend Engineer to own and scale their core data infrastructure. This pivotal role offers significant impact on the company's future. As a Backend Engineer, you will design and implement robust data pipelines for ingesting and processing large-scale datasets from partners. You will also build reusable backend services and APIs to power the search and recommendation features. The role includes owning the overall backend architecture and infrastructure, ensuring reliability, scalability, and maintainability. Collaborating closely with the ML team to integrate data and models into production systems is also key. You'll help establish best practices and standards for backend development across the company. The compensation ranges from $160,000 to $200,000, with competitive equity and comprehensive health, vision, and life insurance benefits, along with a 401(k) with company matching. This is an excellent opportunity to shape the technological direction of a consumer tech startup in its early stages.
Responsibilities
- Design and implement robust data pipelines to ingest and process large-scale datasets from our partners
