Qualcomm is seeking a highly skilled Staff-level ASIC/Subsystem Hardware Architect to join their team in Bangalore. This role is crucial for developing hardware architecture for AI subsystems within the Turing platform. The position requires extensive experience in ASIC design and architecture, with a focus on performance optimization and power efficiency.

The ideal candidate will lead hardware architecture definition for ASIC components, ensuring they meet stringent performance, reliability, and scalability requirements. This role involves close collaboration with cross-functional teams including Product, Software, SOC, and Hardware Implementation teams to define and implement hardware specifications.

Responsibilities For ASIC/Subsystem hardware architect-Staff

  • Define sub-system hardware architecture, covering performance, power strategies, etc.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define hardware requirements and specifications
  • Develop and implement ASIC hardware architecture strategies for AI
  • Conduct power assessment and set power targets
  • Conduct studies to improve performance and identify bottlenecks
  • Write detailed hardware specifications and maintain documentation
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers

Requirements For ASIC/Subsystem hardware architect-Staff

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field
  • 8 to 12 years of experience in ASIC design and architecture
  • Strong knowledge of ASIC design tools and methodologies
  • Knowledge of micro-architecture, RTL coding, and clock controller design
  • Strong understanding of low power designs and strategies
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
