The IoT Business Unit develops hardware, software, and applications for audio, voice, and music products. This 6-month internship in Bristol focuses on PHY algorithm development, simulation, implementation, and testing for data communication modems supporting audio processing and WLAN/BT connectivity standards. You'll work on modem systems design, algorithmic analysis, and fixed-point implementation. You'll interact with Systems, Digital, and Software teams, and be assigned a mentor. Key responsibilities include contributing to modem systems design, algorithmic simulations, testing, and optimization. Preferred Qualifications:
- Good background in Digital communications theory and signal processing
- Awareness of wireless communication standards
- Programming skills in C/C++, Matlab, Python/Perl
- Mathematical and Statistical analysis skills

Education Requirements:
- Final stages of a Bachelor's Degree (or higher qualification) in Electronic Engineering, preferably a Masters or Ph.D program

Responsibilities For FY25 Intern - Engineering Internship - 6 month, Bristol
- Contribute to Modem Systems Design for Single Carrier and Multi-carrier Communication Systems
- Contribute to algorithmic analysis and architecture specification for Communication and DSP blocks
- Contribute to Modem fixed point Implementation
- Own and contribute to algorithmic simulations, testing, debug and optimization
- Contribute to requirements capture and task definition
- Participate in design reviews
- Task definition and breakdown including time and risk estimation
