Hardware System Engineer

Qualcomm is seeking a Hardware System Engineer to join their Wi-Fi hardware system team in Hsinchu City, Taiwan. This role involves participating in Wi-Fi system design development and release, with responsibilities including system design, validation, integration, and performance optimization. The position covers the overall chip lifecycle development, from FPGA emulation to customer support.

Key responsibilities include:

• Participating in Wi-Fi system design development and release
• System design, validation, integration, and performance optimization
• Working on FPGA emulation, pre-silicon verification, ASIC bring-up, and system performance tuning
• Collaborating with software, SOC, analog, and algorithm teams to develop new Wi-Fi features
• Customer support

The ideal candidate should have:

• A Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Communication Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field
• 8+ years of Systems Engineering or related work experience
• Solid understanding of Wi-Fi networks and IEEE802.11 standards
• Comprehensive knowledge of bench equipment (e.g., Wi-Fi tool tester, Oscilloscope, Spectrum analyzer, Sniffer)
• Strong C/C++ programming skills
• Experience in areas such as communication theory, signal processing, RF systems, and wireless standards
• Hands-on lab debugging and measuring skills
• Strong analytical problem-solving approach and good communication skills
