Video SW Engineer

Qualcomm is seeking a Video SW Engineer to join their global Video developer team in Shanghai, China. In this role, you will be responsible for:

1. Getting involved in QCOM premium chipset video software development and maintenance, including Android/Linux multimedia framework, video driver/HAL, and video pre/post-processing.
2. Working on requirement analysis and feature design from OEMs, as well as top social media vendors.
3. Collaborating closely with international peers on cutting-edge video technologies.

The ideal candidate should have:

1. Proficiency in coding with C and C++, with experience in Java or Python being a plus.
2. Strong debugging and troubleshooting abilities.
3. Experience in software design and new feature implementation.
4. Solid background and experience in one or several areas such as Linux device driver development, Android multimedia framework, video usage models, image codec and framework, video compression standards, video pre/post-processing, and streaming protocols.
5. Experience in other multimedia modules (audio, camera, display, etc.) is preferred.
