Sr. Flight Test Engineer

Reliable Robotics is seeking a Sr. Flight Test Engineer to join their Integration & Test team. This role involves verifying the function and capabilities of modified flight control systems for a remotely operated autoflight system. The successful candidate will ensure proper build-up of functions and capabilities, from lab testing to vehicle implementation. They will verify end-to-end functionality and assess test requirements, engaging with various teams and understanding vehicle capabilities. The role includes acting as the responsible engineer for the vehicle and often as test director during flight test campaigns.

Key responsibilities include:

• Verifying function and capabilities of modified flight control systems
• Ensuring proper build-up of functions from lab to vehicle
• Verifying end-to-end system functionality
• Assessing test requirements
• Acting as responsible engineer and test director

The ideal candidate will have:

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Aerospace, or related discipline
• 7+ years of experimental flight test experience
• Ability to draft test plans, cards, hazard analyses, and act as test director
• Experience with aeronautical VHF radio calls
• Ability to complete system-level risk assessments

Preferred qualifications:

• FAA private pilot's (or greater) license
• Experience assembling components in a production environment
• Experience with computer science languages (Python or similar)

The role requires up to 25% travel and offers a competitive salary range of $133,000 to $222,000 annually, plus cash and stock options, and benefits. The position is subject to U.S. export control laws and may require specific citizenship or residency status.
