Staff/Senior Staff Software Test Engineer

SciTec, a dynamic small business, is seeking a talented software test engineer to support programs delivering Next-Generation Missile Warning software. This role offers a unique opportunity to join a team working on core capabilities for National defense, focusing on end-to-end software processing of Overhead Persistent InfraRed (OPIR) sensor data for Missile Warning, Missile Defense, Battlespace Awareness, and Technical Intelligence.

Key responsibilities include:

• Performing functional decomposition of requirements
• Creating and executing test plans and cases
• Developing test automation suites
• Participating in test engineering artifact reviews
• Conducting performance analyses and risk assessments

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in physical sciences, mathematics, engineering, or computer science
• 3+ years of experience in software test engineering
• 1+ year of experience in software development or test automation (preferably Python)
• Strong collaboration and communication skills
• Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD security clearance

Preferred qualifications:

• Experience with OPIR processing systems
• Experience with formal requirements verification for Government programs
• Experience with Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE)
• Active DoD security clearance
