Senior Backend Engineer

Sphinx Defense is seeking a Senior Backend Engineer to join their Space Communications team. This role involves building a ground communications and data-transport platform for US government satellites. The ideal candidate will have 3-5+ years of software engineering experience, with expertise in Python, FastAPI, PostgreSQL, AWS, Docker, Kubernetes, and Terraform.

Key responsibilities include leading core platform service development, designing and building technology for US Government satellite operations, and mentoring junior engineers. The role requires experience in multi-tenant services on public cloud platforms, API development, and a strong emphasis on automation and security.
