Responsibilities For Engineering Technician, Vehicle Test
- Collaborate with test engineers & technicians in vehicle test execution including test setup, inspections, diagnosis, part retrofits and driving
- Communicate directly with engineering teams for status updates and problem solving
- Support various teams within the engineering organization
- Perform general shop maintenance & upkeep
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment
- Manage time independently to complete parallel assignments
Requirements For Engineering Technician, Vehicle Test
- 5+ years in automotive service industry, 3+ years of engineering prototype or product validation
- Technical/Automotive ASE (or equivalent) certification
- Advanced diagnosing capabilities on electric/hybrid vehicles, NVH, both in low and high voltage
- Experience with CAN communication, using meters & oscilloscopes, hi-pot
- Proficiency in MS Office tools and other systems
- Strong organization skills with attention to detail
- Ability to travel up to 30% within 100-mile radius, 10% within the U.S
- Basic fabrication skills
- Vehicle & controller firmware deployment and diagnosis experience
