Tesla is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Silicon Bringup Regression Engineer to join their Autopilot Hardware team. This role is critical in ensuring the quality and reliability of silicon products by developing and executing regression tests to validate functionality and performance. The engineer will work closely with cross-functional teams, including design, validation, and software engineering, to identify and debug issues, ensuring products meet required specifications and quality standards.
Key responsibilities include:
- Developing and executing regression tests for silicon products (CPUs, GPUs, and complex SoCs)
- Collaborating with design and validation teams to debug issues
- Creating and maintaining test plans, cases, and scripts
- Developing automation frameworks and tools to improve efficiency
- Analyzing test results and providing recommendations
- Working with software teams to ensure compatibility
- Participating in silicon bringup activities
- Collaborating with external partners for product compatibility
The ideal candidate will have:
- A degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 5+ years of experience in silicon bringup, validation, or testing
- Strong understanding of computer architecture and digital logic
- Experience with test automation frameworks and tools (Python, Perl, C++)
- Excellent problem-solving and debugging skills
- Strong communication and collaboration abilities
- Experience with version control systems
- Familiarity with Linux or other operating systems
