Responsibilities For Sr. EMC Engineer, Design & Validation

  • Collaborate with design teams in all phases of product design
  • Provide design inputs for schematic and circuit board layout
  • Perform 2D & 3D simulations for EMC design analysis
  • Lead EMC troubleshooting efforts
  • Define EMC design guidelines and requirements
  • Provide technical training as subject matter expert
  • Define and lead design experiments for EMC issues
  • Perform EMC testing to satisfy Tesla specifications

Requirements For Sr. EMC Engineer, Design & Validation

  • Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience
  • 8+ years of experience in EMC and electronics
  • Solid understanding of Electromagnetic theory
  • Experience with CAD simulation tools (HFSS, CST, FEKO)
  • Hands-on experience in debugging emissions and immunity issues
  • Experience with EMC testing and standards
  • Knowledge of testing instruments (spectrum analyzer, VNA, oscilloscope)
  • Familiar with communication protocols (CAN, LIN, Ethernet, USB)
