Responsibilities For Sr. EMC Engineer, Design & Validation
- Collaborate with design teams in all phases of product design
- Provide design inputs for schematic and circuit board layout
- Perform 2D & 3D simulations for EMC design analysis
- Lead EMC troubleshooting efforts
- Define EMC design guidelines and requirements
- Provide technical training as subject matter expert
- Define and lead design experiments for EMC issues
- Perform EMC testing to satisfy Tesla specifications
Requirements For Sr. EMC Engineer, Design & Validation
- Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience
- 8+ years of experience in EMC and electronics
- Solid understanding of Electromagnetic theory
- Experience with CAD simulation tools (HFSS, CST, FEKO)
- Hands-on experience in debugging emissions and immunity issues
- Experience with EMC testing and standards
- Knowledge of testing instruments (spectrum analyzer, VNA, oscilloscope)
- Familiar with communication protocols (CAN, LIN, Ethernet, USB)
