Sr. Quality Engineer, Cell Manufacturing

Tesla is seeking a Senior Quality Engineer for their Cell Engineering team to lead quality assurance efforts in their battery cell manufacturing operations. This role is crucial in ensuring Tesla's battery cells meet the highest standards of quality and reliability. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing a team of Quality Engineers and Technicians while working closely with various departments including Product Design, Equipment Engineering, and Manufacturing Engineering. They will apply engineering principles and analytical techniques to drive continuous improvement in manufacturing processes, lead root cause analysis using 8D methodology, and ensure production lines are designed and operated to produce high-quality cells.

The role requires a strong background in quality engineering with at least 6 years of experience, along with expertise in ISO standards, APQP, and PPAP. The candidate should be proficient in data analysis tools and programming languages like Python and SQL. Experience in automotive or high-volume manufacturing is highly desired.
