Tesla's Self-Driving Hardware team is seeking a Staff Electrical Engineer to join their innovative AI Inference Hardware division. Responsibilities For Staff Electrical Engineer, AI Inference Hardware
- Hardware ownership: Specification, architecture, design, simulation, schematics, layout supervision, prototype, validation
- Design of electrical architecture, electronic circuits, processor selection and integration, system timing and bus loading
- Collaborate with PCB layout, firmware, reliability, program management, mechanical, and EMC teams
- Thoroughly document design requirements, calculations, power budgets
- Come up with validation plan and verify all the features and interfaces across corners
- Design for manufacturing, design for test and design for EMC
Requirements For Staff Electrical Engineer, AI Inference Hardware
- Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience
- 5+ years of relevant circuit board design experience
- Demonstrated depth in end-to-end PCBA design
- Strong in high speed board design(>5Gbps) and knowledge of interfaces (DDR, PCIe, MIPI, Ethernet, etc)
- Experience in high performance processor, memory, storage, network IO based for complex mother board design
- Good understanding of analog and power circuits
- Proficiency with EE tools
- Experience shipping high-volume electronics products
