Tesla is seeking a passionate Staff RF Desense Engineer to join their Wireless Hardware team. This role involves contributing to the architecture and product level design integration of next-generation wireless radio solutions across all fleets and Robot. The ideal candidate will have broad expertise in Multi-Radio Coexistence performance and RF Desense optimization.
Key responsibilities include:
- Designing Cellular RF hardware boards, including impedance matching, layout review, and prototype bring-up
- Defining RF Hardware requirements, design, and implementation in factory tests
- Collaborating with RF module/component suppliers and cross-functional teams to optimize RF performance
- Contributing to vehicle-level systems engineering, addressing architecture issues related to communications, functionality trade-offs, grounding, and EMC strategy
The ideal candidate should bring:
- Strong RF/Microwave circuit design background
- Experience with Wireless (Cellular/WiFi/BT/GNSS) RF board/IC development and Multi-Radio Co-existence
- Hands-on experience in prototype bring-up, debugging, verification, and manufacturing support
- Successful track record of working closely with Mechanical Engineering and Firmware teams
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills
- Demonstrated technical depth and breadth in RF system analysis and design for high volume product development
- Minimum of 5 years of RF circuits design experience in LTE, UMTS, WiFi/BT, GPS
- Knowledge of designing for environmental constraints, regulatory compliance, and product debugging
