Description For Software Engineer, Data Tools and Infrastructure

Timely is revolutionizing educational scheduling through AI-powered optimization, founded to address the critical needs of schools in resource allocation and scheduling efficiency. The company's solution serves both school-based employees and central office staff, helping them make better decisions about staff and student time allocation.

As a Software Engineer focusing on Data Tools and Infrastructure, you'll join an early-stage team working on a solution that's transforming how schools and districts manage their scheduling. You'll be instrumental in advancing the company's data integration capabilities, working closely with various teams to build robust systems that can scale efficiently.

The role combines technical expertise with real-world impact, requiring strong backend development skills (Python, MongoDB, AWS) and experience with educational data systems. You'll be responsible for designing and implementing data pipelines, improving system architecture, and establishing best practices for the growing engineering team.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone passionate about education technology who wants to make a significant impact. The position offers the excitement and growth potential of a seed-stage startup, along with comprehensive benefits including health insurance and professional development opportunities. The remote work environment, with a preference for candidates in NYC or Boston areas, provides flexibility while maintaining strong team collaboration.

Working at Timely means directly contributing to improving educational outcomes by helping schools better allocate their resources and optimize their schedules. Your work will directly impact how schools operate and how students access their education, making this role both technically challenging and meaningfully impactful.
